Why it matters
Cooking, showers and drying clothes put a lot of water into the air. In a well-sealed house that moisture has to be taken out, or it shows up as condensation on the windows, black mould in the corners and a musty smell.
If the house is being insulated and sealed to get it ready for a heat pump, plan the ventilation at the same time.
The hole in the wall
A fan or a duct needs a clean hole through the outside wall. We core drill it ourselves, so there is no waiting on another trade.
